WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
My friends. I am lucky to have and live with some really great people. From struggles with Covid affecting jobs to protesting discrimination at our school, I am constantly in awe of how strong they are and I hope to be the same inspiring support for them!
What is your role this summer?
I am an intern in the finance department.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED ABOUT DURING YOUR INTERNSHIP WITH PRIME 8?
In all honesty, to get some experience under my belt! I am excited to see how all the different positions work and the types of projects Prime 8 takes on. I think it will help me get a feel for what I might like or be good at in my own career!
WHAT ARE SOME SKILLS YOU LOOK FORWARD TO DEVELOPING IN YOUR INTERNSHIP?
I want to learn how to be faster and more organized in navigating computer systems, as well as improve my communication and professional-social skills as I get to meet with everyone.
What is your major and why did you choose it?
Business Administration (international). I like being able to study all aspects of the business world through BA to learn what I really love, and what I never want to do! I have an international concentration from a study abroad trip that was canceled due to covid but I decided to keep it as I love learning how business is done in other countries and cultures
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO ANOTHER POTENTIAL INTERN CONSIDERING AN INTERNSHIP WITH PRIME 8?
Don't be nervous! I was anxious that I might not catch on fast enough since I don't know anything about consulting, but everyone is very friendly, patient, and helpful! There are no stupid questions.
What was your dream job when you were growing up?
I wanted to be a US Navy SEAL. It was the start of my feminism. Then I learned you had to do a lot of pushups.
WHAT IS YOUR DREAM JOB NOW?
I'm not sure – I know I want to travel a lot and work in something that makes me love clocking in every day! I would love to get my master’s at some point so I can be a professor later on.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT SUMMER?
The SUN! I am a Washington girl born and raised – I live for the sun and heat when it comes. I spend most of my summertime outside. Backpacking, on the beach, or in the pool.
