Expert consultant

Jacqueline is a rising Junior at Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, Texas, pursuing a degree in marketing with a minor in economics and a certificate in consultative selling. She is involved in in her sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, and TCU’s ambassador program

Back home in the Seattle area for the summer, she spends her free time wakeboarding and hanging out at the lake with friends. When she is not outside, Jacqueline can be seen at a cycling or hot yoga class, dining around Seattle as a self-proclaimed “foodie”, or shopping.

We chatted with Jacqueline about summertime, her dream job, and why she chose to pursue an internship at Prime 8.

What are you most excited for during your internship with prime 8?

This summer, I am looking forward to dissecting the talented mind of Angie Frazier and learning from the leaders in this company. There is so much to learn at Prime 8, and I am excited to expand my business skillset while immersing myself in the modern marketing and tech space.

Why did you choose to major in marketing?

During my freshman year of high school, I signed up for a marketing class with my best friend because it was the class all the cute and older athletes took (haha!). During that time, however, I fell in love with the creative freedom that marketing encourages and all of the people I met along the way. After that class, I knew marketing was something I had to stick with. Marketing is where I flourish.

What was your dream job when you were growing up? What is your dream job now?

Growing up, I idolized “Hannah Montana”, so naturally, wanted to be a pop star. Unfortunately, that dream was quickly killed off by my lack of vocal talent. Fast forward to current day, and my dream job is to be a Chief Marketing Officer for a company that aligns with my personal values of positive global change integrated into a marketspace that I am passionate about.

Why did you choose to pursue an internship with prime 8?

The kindred culture at Prime 8 stood out to me. Everyone I spoke with during the interview process exhibited positive company culture through making me feel immediately welcomed and that really drew me in.

What is your favorite part about living in Texas for school?

Putting on my boots and listening to country music! Graduating high school, I knew that I wanted to try something different and Texas has provided a unique cultural experience for my college years. I love to travel to new places so I enjoy the weekends at school where my friends and I can go try new BBQ places and sit outside listening to good music.

What is your morning routine?

In order for me to be productive for my day, I have to make my bed every morning. Then, I immediately make an almond milk latte with cinnamon and open my laptop!

What inspires you?

People who allow themselves to be vulnerable yet set a standard of excellence continuously amaze me. Particularly in this pandemic, I think one message is streamlined: we are all human. Part of the human experience is loss, juggling work/life balance, and so much more. However, those who are able to embrace human reality while leading by example push me to always do better and remind me that I am a part of something greater than myself.

Do you have a favorite tv show?

Vampire Diaries or One Tree Hill – I became hooked during quarantine.

What do you enjoy most about summer in seattle?

Summer in Seattle to me is: wake surfing, spending as much time in the sun, and hanging out with friends. When I am not working, you can find me on the lake or tanning!
