Partner: Rainier Scholars

Seattle-based Rainier Scholars is a 12-year program that offers a pathway to college graduation for hard-working, low-income students of color, transforming the lives of more than 700 students and their families. They provide intensive academic preparation, leadership development and personalized support so the scholars can earn their four-year degrees and become career professionals and leaders in the community.

We are are proud to have established a connection with Rainier Scholars and excited to have the opportunity to work with this amazing organization to create positive change, improve our own diversity, source exceptional candidates, explore internship initiatives, mentoring programs and other employee opportunities in support of this valuable initiative.

Prime 8 president, Nicolette Sharp, is a member of the Rainier Scholars’ Board of Trustees. She utilizes her strong leadership skills and visionary mindset to help bring about change alongside her fellow trustees.

Partner: Rwanda Girls Initiative

Prime 8 is a proud partner of Rwanda Girls Initiative (RGI). RGI’s mission is to educate and empower girls of Rwanda to reach their highest potential. RGI aims to provide a world class education for girls in Rwanda through the Gashora Girls Academy of Science and Technology. We support the mission and vision of RGI as they create wonderful opportunities for young women. Annually, Prime 8 sponsors the RGI 5K Fun Run event; the event is organized by Prime 8 founder’s daughter, Sophie Sharp. Year after year, the fun run has been a hugely successful community event, raising over $55,000 for RGI. Sponsor: Bellevue LifeSpring Holiday Adopt-a-Family

Each summer, Bellevue LifeSpring’s Human Services team conducts registration for families in the community who foresee needing help for the holidays. Each family is interviewed in person and qualified for services. They share a little bit of their story and create a wish list for each child in their family and one household gift. Every year, during the holidays, Prime 8 gathers together to purchase and wrap gifts for two of those local families in need to provide gifts for the holidays and grocery store gift cards. We support the mission of Bellevue LifeSpring and are filled with joy year after year to be able to provide for these amazing families.
